Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public School was established in the year 2004. The School is affiliated to Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE). It is conveniently located in village Beghpur Kamlooh at a distance of 6km from Mukerian (Distt:-Hoshiarpur) towards Talwara and is established by a great visionary Er. Parmjit Singh.
It is an English medium co-educational school. We have on our rolls about 2000 students from nursery to class 12th .The School campus is spread over 60 canals and is equipped with a wide range of facilities for all round development of all ages. The Campus is divided into landscaped areas, playgrounds and institutional infrastructures and provides a healthy and stress free learning environment for children. Classrooms are well-lit, airy and spacious. We have labs for language computers, Science, Mathematics and different departments like music, dance, art and craft for overall development of child. We use innovative and child centered classroom approaches to make learning an enjoyable experience for our children. We adopt innovative methodology to teach the five core academic subjects and one additional language namely Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Social sciences. We rely a great deal on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to make teaching learning process based on investigative, exploratory and analytical techniques. We give challenging assignments to students instead of routine homework to inculcate in them the skills to work in groups also. At the secondary and senior secondary levels, the academic programs are determined by the CBSE and we implement them as per the norms laid down. Measurements and assessment of learning is done through Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation (CCE) system implemented by CBSE.
